OUR SERVICES AT GISAD
GISAD offers a wide range of services to ensure the best possible support and care for our students. Our comprehensive offerings include a fully equipped medical station, a reliable school bus service, diverse and healthy meals provided by our cafeteria, a well-stocked media library, and a school shop for all necessary supplies. Additionally, we provide school social work, private tutoring, and various extracurricular activities.
Our goal is to create a holistic and supportive learning environment where all members of our school community feel comfortable and well cared for.
MEDICAL STATION
At GISAD, we have a fully equipped medical station and a trained nurse, Ms. April Padilla. All students and staff are insured against accidents during school hours, excursions, and other school activities.

SCHOOL BUS TRANSPORTATION
GISAD offers safe transportation to and from school with 11 school buses. The buses operate in the mornings and in the afternoons at 1:45 PM and 3:45 PM.
At the beginning of the school year, bus routes are adjusted to accommodate new registrations. Children are picked up at designated pick-up locations. Door-to-door pick-up is possible; otherwise, a meeting point is agreed upon. Delays due to new registrations are communicated in advance.
Single trips must be registered and paid for in advance. General registrations and changes are made through the online portal. Registrations and cancellations can only be made by parents or guardians, who must accept the school bus regulations.

Lunch
In collaboration with “Food Nation,” we offer warm lunches for all students. “Food Nation” supplies over 40 schools in Abu Dhabi.

Media Library
“Reading is a boundless childhood adventure” – Astrid Lindgren. This motto shapes the GISAD Media Library, which offers kindergarten children and students a wide selection of books and media such as audiobooks, CDs, and DVDs in German, English, and Arabic. Thanks to book donations and new acquisitions, we constantly expand our collection.

Eligibility
All staff, students, kindergarten children, and their parents are eligible to participate. In the event of repeated violations of the regulations, the school administration may prohibit the use of the Media Library.

School Shop
Our school shop provides students with materials that meet the school’s standards. The range includes school notebooks, writing pads, covers, as well as high-quality T-shirts and polo shirts with the embroidered GISAD logo in various colors.
Materials & Orders
Primary School: Parents can find the material list for each class online.
Secondary School: Students receive the material list from their teachers during the first week of school.
Payment and Delivery
We currently do not accept cash payments. Please use the Skiply app for payments. After ordering, the materials will be handed directly to the students within two working days by Ms. Haack or Ms. Gensch.
School Social Work
At the German International School Abu Dhabi, our school social work offers students support with personal, social, and emotional challenges. This impartial counseling helps students develop independent solution strategies.

Tutoring
GISAD offers private tutoring for all subjects from grade 1 to 12. Contact information for qualified tutors is available from the class teachers. These tutors are high school students, alumni, or external providers.
Classrooms for tutoring sessions can be booked through Ms. Ibrahim. Payment is made directly between the parties.
