Our goal is to provide our students with a successful educational path that paves the way for a promising future, characterized by intercultural awareness and the idea of being a global citizen.

In the 2005/2006 academic year, GISAD received a generous donation from the ruler of the UAE, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed. This support enhanced the infrastructure of our school building and expanded our academic offerings. Following this, the Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Scholarship was initiated, enabling GISAD to integrate Emirati children from kindergarten age. In the 2019/2020 school year, we proudly awarded our first Emirati students with the German International Abitur.

The German International Abitur is our highest qualification and is achieved after students pass a series of exams to complete their twelfth grade. This qualification allows students to study either abroad or at universities in Germany, Austria, or Switzerland.

Our educational path is distinguished by starting instruction in both German and English from kindergarten. From first grade, all our main classes are taught in German. In the upper grades, a bilingual curriculum is offered. We also provide Arabic for native speakers in kindergarten and begin teaching Arabic as a foreign language from first grade.

Starting in grade 5, students are assessed regarding their future educational path:

• Realschule
• Gymnasium/Abitur

Teachers conduct these assessments based on the overall performance of the students and maintain communication with the parents.

GISAD is a full-day school offering a range of after-school care options. We collaborate with external extracurricular partners to expand our extracurricular program, relieving parents from after-school supervision and homework assistance.
